My All-Time Favorite Author, Nicholas Sparks

Cozy Up with a Good Book

Who do you cuddle up with when you get 5 minutes of alone time on a cold winter day or while lazing in the sun on the beach?

For me, it’s Nicholas Sparks! Whenever I get the opportunity, I love to cuddle up with a Nicholas Spark’s book. Whether it’s a cold winter day, sitting on a beach or around a campfire! He is the all-time best author I have found. His stories are full of emotion and inspiration, give hope and so much more.

I have only had the opportunity to read a few of the many he has published, but someday I vow to catch up.

Reading is a way to de-stress and relax and I’m starting to wonder if it’s not becoming a lost activity for many. When I was younger I used to read hours upon hours, then I had children. My reading time became less and less. Oh, how I miss it though!

If only I wasn’t ready to pass out as soon as my head hit the pillow at night! I might actually have more time to read if I could stay awake for 1o minutes.  When you have little ones, trying to juggle the home, work, kids, and everyday life, living in a book even for a few minutes feels heavenly and if it’s a good one, those minutes feel like seconds.

You can find all his books on Amazon, in paperback, kindle edition, and more! And of course I found him on Facebook too! I may not have a ton of time to read right now, but I can keep up to date on what he is working on!

I have heard really great things about his books. Glad you enjoy them so much 🙂

    • Thank you, have you ever read any of his books?

  • I do love reading too. Nicholas Sparks is a prominent person. As for me, I do love Paulo Coelho. I am considering buying a book from Nicholas Sparks when I get a chance in the Booksale. I think Audiobook is one good alternative that will fit our busy schedule.

    • I’ve never heard of Paulo Coelho. I will have to check out this author! I too love booksales! As for audiobooks, I’ve never used them, but it sure is a good thought!

  • I enjoy his books too. I’m currently reading his latest and it’s good so far.

  • Yes I love Nicholas Sparks! What are your favorite novels of him? I also enjoy reading as this distresses me!

    • The Lucky One, The Longest Ride, and more. There are still many that I have not gotten too yet and some that I have not bought yet too. Glad I’m not his only fan. lol

  • The last year I decided to pick up my reading again because yes the kids took away that’ awesome habit I once had. I began reading again and even published my own book a few wks ago!!! I am glad to know I wasn’t the only one this happened to after becoming a mommy.

    • It is amazing how much time children consume, but I would not have it any other way! That is awesome about publishing your own book, So excited for you! What is the title of your book so I can check it out?

  • So beautiful and amazing 🙂
    Great post!

  • Snuggling up on this cold Chicago day and reading a good book sounds so nice right now!!!

  • Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorites too – his stories are so rich and so full of emotion. You can’t help but feel for his characters and their experiences.

    • I love that I’m not the only one who feels this way about his books! Thanks for your wonderful comment.

  • do you prefer his books or his movies? I have only seen the film of The Notebook

    • I like both, but I prefer to read the book first. They can be so different.

  • I’ve never read his books but I feel totally inspired now! Bookstores here I come!

    • Awesome, I don’t believe you will be disappointed. lol

  • I am 24 and no one I know likes to read. I LOVE IT. It’s sad to me that no one likes to read anymore.

    PS. LOVE Nicholas Sparks 🙂

    • That is my fear with the younger generations, I make sure i spend time reading with my children every night so they know how important reading is. Glad I’m not the only one who loves him! 🙂

  • I’ve never read his stuff. I have two girls under 5, so I can relate to the time being sucked into a vacuum! Most of my reading time these days is other blogs and my Bible reading time! However, with my 2017 goals, I’m looking to knock out 6 extra books to grow myself on top of my other responsibilities as I love to read as well!

    • That is awesome Steven, we all know the kids come first and yes the bible comes second! Good luck with your goal of 6 extra books! 🙂

  • Never read his book before but gonna try and read it up.. Looks good…

Reading is my favorite activity, although I don’t have as much time to read right now as I would like. I have only read a few of Nicholas Sparks’ books but I have enjoyed them. My daughter who is as big a reader as I am, has read all of his books, and he is one of her favorite authors.

  • George

Thank you for the tips, never heard of Nicholas Sparks before. I actually ended up purchasing “The Guardian” on Kindle :).

    • That is great, I hope you enjoy it him as an author as much as I do, let me know how you feel about his writing.

  • I have NEVER read any of his books. Not sure it’s a genre I like, but I guess the only way to find that out would be to WATCH!

    • I’ve thought that about some authors too, but to my surprise, after I’ve read a book by an unknown author, I’ve realized I like them too. We all have our own genre’s that we like. 🙂

  • Shannon

Nice. My fav author at the moment is James Patterson

    • I have heard good things about him as well, we all have our own special authors. 🙂

  • I haven’t read Nicholas Sparks in such a long time. I saw he just came out with another book, maybe I should get it and get back into him. I love curling up and reading when it’s icky outside, well I like it all of the time actually!

    • Best time to read is when it’s icky outside. lol He has come out with some new ones that I haven’t gotten a chance to read either. I really need to find some more time to read, it’s so relaxing!

  • Kaitlyn

Oh my, he is my all time favorite too! I have had to take a break from him for awhile though because a lot of book of his are similar. I should get back into reading them!

    • I guess I haven’t read enough of them yet or they are so far in between readings that I hadn’t noticed that yet. lol I hope I don’t get tired of them when I do get a chance to catch up!

  • I snuggle up with blogs and personal development books. I love self-help books.

    • Well I have been doing a lot more the blog reading myself. I also like self help books for some things, but for my me time I like to grab a good story. We all have different genres of what we like. Thank you for sharing yours too. 🙂

  • It’s such a great feeling when you find an author you really enjoy. I’ve never heard of Nicholas Sparks so I’ll have to check him out!

    • Yes, I agree Elizabeth. If you enjoy life stories, mostly love, you will enjoy Nicholas Sparks.

  • I love Nicholas Sparks novels as well! He really knows how to tell a good love story!

    • Yes he does Sondra. I’m happy to see I’m not the only one who loves his books.

  • He’s a very good writer. His books always get me crying. The films really do bring out the storyline

    • I totally agree Fatima! I try not to watch the any of the movies until after I’ve read the book though, just makes it more fun for me. 🙂

  • Pam

I just got rid of a lot of my books. Decluttering has been a major part of nesting for me this pregnancy. Among the ones I kept were several Nicholas Sparks books though. I can’t wait to dive in and read the ones I haven’t yet!

    • I remember doing that as well during my pregnancy. Glad you kept the Nicholas Sparks ones. lol I always keep them, even after I’ve read them. I only have one that I haven’t read yet. 🙂

  • It depends on my mood! I love books that inspire and books that have a compilation of stories as well. Nicholas Sparks is a good choice!

    • I have that sometimes too, There are days I sure don’t want to be reading a love story. lol Some days you need a pick me up or something that is uplifting. I totally get this and have this feeling myself.
