I Never Pay Full Price For My Kids Clothing! Find Out How!

Never Pay Full PriceI never pay full price for kids clothing and I make money while doing so! How is that even possible your probably wondering? Read on and I will tell you how!

I live on a tight budget, not just a tight budget, but a very small tight budget. I still have to provide for my children and I still want them to have things that other kids have and to be able to be in style if they wish. I’ve become a very savvy shopper!

I do on occasion shop at thrift stores, who doesn’t? But only if what I’m buying is a good quality item and in great condition. Unfortunately I never get “hand me downs” of anything either.

My Favorite Way to Shop? Clearance!

I buy most stuff on clearance at the end of seasons. I buy 1 and 2 sizes bigger for the next year. Depending on price and what’s available. I do 2 sizes in case they grow more than anticipated and what the kids can’t wear, I sell on Ebay for more than I paid for it. I have spent as a little as $.50 for a shirt or a pair of shorts. Every chance I get, I shop the clearance section first!

A recent deal I scored was at JCPenny, in store. I got my son 3 pairs of pants and 2 shirts. Total price was $56, I paid $14! Not bad for JCPenny.

I shop on Ebay as well and it’s not just used clothing that you get good deals on. Here is a great example. My son is very picky when it comes to sneakers. His favorite brand that fit “just right” for him are Sketchers. Now we all know how expensive they can be! Well, I just bought 2 pair last week, 2 different colors and sizes, for $18.95 per pair with free shipping! Original price was $54 per pair!

And just today on Kmart.com, I got my daughter 2 pairs of casual boots for a total price of $18.53, I did have to pay shipping of $8.95, but knocked of $2.13 with my points for a grand total of $25.35. Not bad considering the total of the boots would have been, $74.94 before shipping.

Another site that usually has really awesome clearance deals is The Children’s Place. Some of the deals I have gotten my son include fleece pants, T-shirts and more for as little as $1.50 each. I have gotten jeans for as little as $5 and my daughter T-Shirts and leggings for as little as $2.50.

I also get great deals at Walmart. Sometimes their prices are so low, like the basics, starting at just $3, that you don’t need a clearance sale!

I love shopping deal sites like Zulily, Hollar, and more! I usually visit these sites for holiday purchase and or birthday gifts, anniversary gifts, etc. Another way I save is by buying for a bunch of them at the same time to save on shipping cost and to use coupons codes, etc.

Never Pay Full Price

Tips for saving even more money even on Clearance!

I shop through my Swagbucks shop & earn links when shopping online! Don’t have a Swagbucks account, you can sign up here! Get SB’s for shopping that you can redeem for cash and gift cards. *You can also earn SB a ton of different ways everyday!

I use my rewards credit cards to get cash back or reward points.

*Combine both of these when you shop to get the most for your money, earn more money as you have to spend money. And I don’t even shop just to shop! I only shop for what we need, I rarely splurge on wants except for holiday shopping, and I’m always earning points and getting money back.

You can too!

Never pay full price again!

Get Outdoors And Have Some Fun Themed Easter Baskets

Outdoor Fun Themed Easter Baskets

  Themed Easter Baskets

Get outdoors and have some fun is the theme of the Easter baskets for my children again this year. I believe in children getting fresh air and exercise on a daily basis and what better way to do that than to give them the means to want to be outside! Through Amazon.com and Dollar Tree.com I have found many awesome products to make fun filled outdoor Easter baskets even on a budget. From DIY projects to kites and chalk, you can check out my ideas in the list below.

These items also fill their baskets pretty quick, which means less room for all those sugary sweets! For the sweet stuff, we will do an Easter Egg Hunt outdoors, hopefully the weather permits! That way it is less candy and more fun for both children and parents! Of course depending on your child’s age/s will also help you decide what would work for their baskets.

A Few Ideas For Outdoor Fun My Kids Have Loved

DIY Windchimes

Craft Rock Pets

Studio Sidewalk Mandala

DIY Water Bottle

Kites

Build A Fairy Garden

And so much more outdoor fun stuff like chalk, bubbles, hula hoops, flip flops and more right from the Dollar Tree.

You can’t beat $1 or even less!

And of course don’t forget the Easter essentials! I usually get these at Walmart.

These are just a few ideas for an outdoors themed Easter basket. I know my children have loved them in the past and this is what I’m doing again this year. They get so much more out of this type of basket and it gives them months of outdoor play stuff, than just a basket full of sweets.

What kind of basket do you build for your children? Do you try to do something different each year or do you stick with tradition? Let me know in the comments! We are all always looking for new ideas!

5 Sites I Get Products From To Review For Free

5 Sites to Review ProductsI love to review products, especially when I get them for free! Do you like reviewing new products?

Have you ever overheard a conversation where people are talking about a “new product” and been able to say, “Hey, I just tried that product.” Their like, “But how, it’s not even out to the public yet?” Or, “Already? What do you do, go out and buy stuff that is new just to be the one first one to try it?” I just giggle a bit and tell them about the site I joined to review products for free, depending on which site I got that particular item they are talking about.

The comments are ALWAYS like, “I want to join!” or “That’s so cool.” I even get, “So then, is it any good?” “Tell us what you have learned about this product then. I want to know if I should buy it or not.” And more questions come.

These are fun and exciting times, especially with friends and family members! I also always try to carry the coupons with me that may have come with the product, this really helps in getting others to try the products too, especially if you liked that product. I’ve shared the sites with others through social media as well. Some have joined, some have not.

I love that I can influence others with my reviews of products and let them know if it was a good product, or not.

5 Sites I use to Get free Products to Review

Some of these sites have way more offers than others. Some you get products from a lot! Others, only once in awhile. For example, right now, I’m reviewing 2 different products for BzzAgent. I just had a sample box I reviewed last week from PINCHMe, and I’m being considered for HouseParty right now. Let’s hope I get it! I just signed up for Daily Goodie box, so nothing from them just yet and Smiley 360 is an old favorite that I haven’t worked with in a couple years. I had kinda forgotten about them, and let them slide while I was earning my degree, so I just re-signed up with them. I do remember reviewing many products for them before I was even a blogger.

Be sure to always give honest feedback! If you don’t like a product, that’s ok, not everyone will always like everything. Make sure you always follow up with whatever agreement you have made with the site for reviewing the products. These tips will get you more products to review.

Use the links above to check the sites out for yourself and to get more information. Review products today!

Do you use any of these sites? If yes, which ones? If no, what ones are you going to try?

5 Ways A Vegetable/Fruit/Herb Garden Can Help Your Budget

Garden Will Help BudgetIt’s that time of year again where we start thinking about gardening! What do we want to grow this year? Are there new or better varieties to choose from? Where do I want to buy my seeds (if you didn’t save from last year or just want something different. Do I need new garden tools or supplies?

Growing a vegetable, fruit, and herb garden is a great way to help anyone on a budget whether you have a large family, just having a hard time making ends meet, or just trying to save extra money. We all know at certain times of the year some fruits and vegetable can get pretty expensive!

5 Ways A Garden Can Help

1.) Fresh vegetables, fruits, and herbs for your family to consume. Myself and my kids love to eat fresh fruits and veggies straight from the garden. Summer salads are awesome! They love watching the melons and pumpkins grow and have a blast picking and eating the berries.

*Bonus, it is a great learning experience for them as well and teaches them a little work ethic too.

2.) Canning and freezing vegetables and fruits. Drying herbs for seasoning your dishes. You can have veggies and fruits all year-long if you can and/or freeze your favorites! Dry herbs and store them in labeled ball jars or old spice jars you might have saved (this is what I do.) If you have a spice rack with jars, better yet!

3.) Have a vegetable and fruit stand to sell over abundance of what you’ve grown. Grew too much? Set up a small stand on the corner of your drive and sell some of the extra fruits and vegetables! You would be surprised how many people will stop for that nice red tomato or that big green zucchini!

4.) Trade or barter with family, friends, and neighbors for different fruits or vegetables they may have grown that you haven’t and vice versa. Forgot to plant corn or just didn’t have enough room in your garden? Ask around to see who has extra, offer something in return that they may not have planted in their garden.

5.) Dry seeds from some of your fruits and vegetables to start the cycle all over next year! As you begin to reap the rewards of all your hard work, don’t forget to dry some of your seeds to use in your next garden. Just be sure to label the jars or bags!

The Seeds I Have Used

Because there have been many times I have forgotten to save seeds. I shop Amazon for my seeds and starter supplies. They have a lot of deals, good seeds, and an amazing variety of Organic, Non-GMO, Sustainable Seed Bags, Combo Packs and more!

These are the ways I help my family budget and allow my family to continuously eat healthy. Do you garden? What do you grow?
