Changing the Blog
I’m changing the blog a bit, my story wasn’t really working for me. I want it to be fun and entertaining, not depressing. My story is just that. When I had the idea to write it, I was thinking it would help me. Well I quickly realized it was actually having the reverse affect!
Now I’m going to focus more on the things I like to do. How I want my life to be and stuff that make me happy, not depressed. I have mentioned before that I have many interests, and boy do I ever!
I love my kids of all ages, coffee (coffee-holic here), DIY projects of all kinds, gardening, and camping. The challenge of living on a budget is another big one for me. Using my imagination and of course Pinterest to make home decor and more is a lot of fun for me. I’m sure I will have a ton of categories until I figure out to group everything the way I want it.
I’m always told I have OCD because I like things just so. Well maybe I do a little, but I’ll take it as a compliment. You see, if I do, it helps me keep things organized and makes me work harder until I get it right. Do you see that as a bad thing? I didn’t think so either.
Anyway, let’s see if we can get this blog moving! Follow along on my crazy journey to have a blog that is amazing.
Who is ready for all the Christmas Craziness? I love, love, love Christmas!! Baking, decorating, wrapping gifts, shopping for everyone (although I don’t much care for shopping in store anymore, will explain in a bit), etc. My most favorite thing about Christmas is watching the kids open their presents, seeing their eyes light up and hear the excitement in their voices!
It has become quite busy for me suddenly as I have taken to making some of my Christmas decor myself. I will be sharing a post showing a wreath I made soon. And am now working on another project. I have done most of my shopping online and now just waiting for the packages to start arriving. I guess I better find a place to hide them until I get to wrapping.
Anyway, back to why I don’t like to shop in store much anymore. I love getting things for my children that they really want, however, I refuse to fight with people over something. Seems like there are more and more people out there that have forgotten the true meaning of Christmas. I never want to be one of them and I don’t want to raise my children to be that way either. Where has the holiday spirit gone?
What is the holiday season like at your house?
The holiday season is upon us, what do you like to do for the holidays? Do you have traditions you follow each year? I very much dislike the winter months, but I do love the holidays. I know that doesn’t make much sense, but I really don’t like the cold and I live in New York. Lol Winter can be short and disappear after the New Year for me.
What is your favorite holiday? Mine is most definitely Christmas! I love giving and I love seeing the kids eyes light up Christmas morning when they see that Santa had been there. And I really like to decorate for the holidays.
However, living on a budget and making sure to get the kids get what they want from Santa, sure makes it hard to pay for all those pricey decorations. There is where DIY holiday decor comes in for me, I love getting ideas for decorations I can make myself from Pinterest! Pinterest is my go to site for so many things, and many of them I will share with you as soon as I figure out how. Lol
